Communicative Method or total Submersion

All programmes are based on the “communicative method” or total submersion in language learning. This method has as its core idea that language is all about communication. the communicative method totally submerges the participant in a situation where he/she is communicating from the outset in the new language.

The main principles of the "communicative method" or total submersion are:

  • Learning by doing is more effective than learning by instruction.
  • Role-play which involve real communication promote real learning
  • The programme must reflect the different individual needs and requirements of the students and their organisations
  • Confidence and fluency in speaking or writing a language (even inaccurately) is very important. Making errors is a natural part of the language learning process and are viewed as the building blocks from which we learn.
  • Our aim is to enable student to speak both fluently and accurately in a business and social situation.
